Benitachell, also known as El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, is a picturesque municipality surrounded by bays and cliffs, close to tourist attractions in Alicante province such as Jávea and Teulada-Moraira.

It is a real pleasure to stroll through the narrow streets and steep slopes, which enchant the traveller who decides to stroll through the old town. This is a coastal municipality with deep-rooted agricultural, fishing and craft traditions (wickerwork, basketry of palm and esparto grass).

Today, apart from residential and holiday complexes, the municipality has an abundant agricultural landscape of fields where the cultivation of Muscat grapes predominates.

The municipality is divided into two distinct parts: the old town, located inland, and the modern Cumbre urbanisation del Sol, a luxury residential area on the coast offering panoramic views of the sea and the beautiful surrounding natural environment.

With rugged cliffs and turquoise blue waters, Benitachell's small coastline is truly spectacular. It is characterised by its natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere. It is the perfect place to enjoy a unique experience, from exploring underwater caves to enjoying the tranquillity of quiet beaches.

The excellent Mediterranean climate enjoyed in this area makes any time of year ideal for walking through the countryside full of vineyards or cycling. You will find perfectly signposted hiking trails to access the main bays, such as:

• Cala Moraig is a popular pebble beach. It is home to the Cova dels Arcs, an ideal spot for snorkelling and kayaking
• Cala dels Testos is another jewel of nature. This small natural beach can only be reached by sea or on foot
• Cala Llebeig, located between cliffs, is easily accessible on foot
