Frequently asked questions about buying or selling a property in Spain

What is the process of buying a property in Spain?

The purchase process consists of several steps: orientation, viewing, reservation (Contrato de Arras), legal control and notarial transfer. Dacasas accompanies you personally during each step.

Count on about 11-13% on top of the purchase price: 10% transfer tax, plus costs for notary, lawyer, registration and any mortgage advice.

Yes, that is not a problem. However, you do need an NIE number. Dacasas will help you apply for this and guide you through all the administrative steps.

Among other things, you need the title deed (escritura), note simple, energy certificate and proof of payment of municipal taxes. We will make sure everything is ready for sale.

The main costs are: brokerage commission (usually 3-5%), plusvalía municipal, and any legal fees. We make all costs transparent in advance.

Yes, you can do that through a notarised power of attorney. We can perform all actions on your behalf, including transfer to the notary.
