\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\nThe old fishing village Moraira<\/a>\u00a0is located on the Costa Blanca in Spain and is one of the nicest places along this popular coastal region. Moraira<\/a> forms one municipality together with inland Teulada. Whereas Teulada is a fairly quiet village where mostly people live off farming, the fishing village of Moraira is so lively. The nice thing about Moraira is that tourism has not ruined the place. You won't find big hotels or apartment complexes here, and the marina is used for what it is meant for: for yachts and boats. The image of Club Nautico is not disturbed by tour operators, banana rides or other tourist activities.\r\n\r\nThe centre of Moraira<\/a> is right by the fishing port, where, next to the fishing boats, you will find a fish auction where you can buy fresh fish daily, even as a tourist. If you don't want to prepare your own fish, you can of course eat the catch of the day in one of the many restaurants in the centre of Moraira and along the coastal road towards Calpe<\/a>.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThe centre of Moraira consists of about 20 streets mainly filled with restaurants, bars, shops, estate agents and residential complexes of up to 4 to 5 storeys high. Some of the streets are only accessible to pedestrians, which adds to the atmosphere of the centre. Anyone walking through Moraira feels that the atmosphere here is more convivial than in larger towns in the area such as Calpe<\/a>, Benidorm and Altea<\/a>. You also notice that the restaurants here are of a higher standard on average, both in terms of the food and the prices you pay for it. Because of Moraira's shopping and restaurant offer and the fact that most tourists mainly stay in villas creates a certain crowd. Fortunately, it does not resemble places like Marbella or Cannes where the rich try to outdo each other with expensive cars and ditto yachts. Here you will mainly find bon vivants with an average income above average.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

What is there to do?<\/h2>\r\n<\/header>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThose coming to Moraira will mainly have to entertain themselves. No amusement parks, mini-golf, shows, water parks or mega-discotheques here. Public entertainment here consists of visiting terraces and restaurants, fishing, golf, swimming and some shopping. Just outside Moraira you will find a go-kart track for those looking for adrenaline.\r\n\r\nAs an attraction, there is the Castillo de Moraira, Moraira's landmark located on the south side of the centre. A visit to the \"castle\" will take you ten minutes. Those who really want to do or see things will have to head out to other coastal towns or inland. There are plenty of fun outings to do near Moraira.
